Day 01 Arrival in Leh

Arrival at Leh airport.

Once you have completed the immigration procedures and collected your luggage, our operator will wait for you outside the Terminal for the transfer to Leh.
Arrival at the hotel and check-in. Standard Check-in 2.00pm / Check-out 12.00pm.

We recommend a relaxing day to acclimatise. Day at leisure

Overnight in Leh

Day 2: Leh > Zingchen > Rumbak (4-5 hours)

After breakfast then leave for Zingchen. Thereafter, you will take the route to Rumbak on a flat track that goes into Hemis National Park, a zoo for the rare snow leopard, and the blue sheep, Himalayan ibex, foxes, and marmots. Rumbak village and camping overnight is a done thing.

Day 3: Rumbak > Base Gandala Pass (4500 m)

After breakfast get ready for the trek to Ganda La Base Camp. Stroll down the hills, cross the valley and follow the steep and winding path. It is an area of high altitude birds as well as of animals, it is known for. The whole team camps the night at Gandala Base Camp.

Day 4: Gandala Base to Skyu (6-7 hours)

Go through Gandala Pass (4380m) and then come down to Shingo, where the entry point is to the Markha Valley. The walking route comes through Zanskar range which is a never-ending delight. Right from the home homestay in Kaya village to overnight camping at Skyu village, you have choices.

Day 5: Skyu to Markha (7-8 hours)

Proceed to the start of the lake then trek to the left and descend past the steps over the bridge. Welcome to Chaluk, beyond which the verdant fields are left behind as the path opens up onto the barren landscapes which finally lead you to the Markha village. This place is also the right destination for you to be able to have amazing river camping sites. Camp out near it.

Day 6: Markha to Thachungtse (5-6 hours)

After breakfast, take a walk to Hankar village. On the journey, you can see the ancient crumbled walls of the castles as well as the monasteries and buildings. While you are hiking you will be able to see the large Kang Yatse (4800m) on the way. Build up fields of emerald grasses will welcome you in Thachungtse. Overnight at Thachungtse ethnic site.

Day 7: Thachungtse to Nimaling (4-5 hours)

Moving towards Nimaling – the place which is at a height of THE on top of 4900 meters above the sea level is a glacier meadow. This area is the primary means of existence for the local people, who use it to rear yaks, goats, and sheep during the summer. Nimaling is the highest point of the trek and presents you with a panoramic view of the Kang Yatse peak. Camp overnight at Nimaling.

Day 8: Nimaling to Shang Sumdo to Leh (6-7 hours)

Proceed to Kongmaru La (5200m) in the early morning for trekking. Through the defileson the way to the top of the Kongmaru point, you can enjoy vires of the Ladakh chain and Indus valley. At Shang, a car will be awaiting you to drive you back to Leh.
