Day 1

Arrival in Bhubaneswar

Arrival at Bhubaneswar Airport.

After completing immigration procedures and collecting your luggage, our operator will be waiting for you outside the terminal to transfer you to your hotel in Bhubaneswar.

Arrival at the hotel and check-in. Standard check-in at 14:00 / check-out at 12:00.

Udayagiri and Khandagiri: – Udayagiri and Khandagiri Caves, formerly called Kattaka Caves or Cuttack Caves, are partly natural and partly artificial caves of archaeological, historical, and religious importance.

Market Ashok Nagar: – This shopping place is noisy and crowded, but it has a different charm due to which it always remains busy. Market Building is one of the oldest shopping places in the city, where you can buy clothes, footwear, souvenirs, and also find numerous local food stalls.

Overnight stay in Bhubaneswar.

Day 2

Bhubaneshwar-Pipli (24 km, 40 minutes) Pipli-Puri (44 km, 1 hour) Puri-Konark (37 km, 55 minutes)

After breakfast, drive to Konark.

Along the way, visit Pipli and Puri.

Tribal Market in Pipli: – The tarasa or heart-shaped wooden pieces made here are used in chariots during festivals. In fact, during Chandan Yatra, there are processions where deities are covered with chhatris made of applique. This applique work dates back to ancient times.

Shree Jagannath Temple (Photo Stop Outside): – According to folklore, before being known as Jagannath (Lord of the Universe), the Lord was worshipped as ‘Purushottama’, the creator, protector, and destroyer of the world.

Puri Beach Market: – Choose from a wide range of authentic Odisha handloom sarees, dress materials, and handicrafts, gorge on lip-smacking street food, and soak up the cheerful vibes of the market.

Puri Beach or Golden Beach: – Puri Beach or Golden Beach is a beach in the city of Puri, Odisha, India. It is located on the shore of the Bay of Bengal. It is known as a tourist attraction and a Hindu holy place.

On arrival, visit The Surya Mandir (Sun Temple): – The Sun Temple of Konark, built in the mid-13th century, is a magnificent example of artistic brilliance and engineering prowess. King Narasimhadeva I, the great ruler of the Ganga dynasty, built this temple with the help of 1,200 artisans over a period of 12 years (1243-1255 AD).

Overnight stay at Konark.

Day 3

Konark-Gopalpur (183 Km, 5 Hours)

After breakfast, drive to Gopalpur.

En route, visit Chilika Lake at Barkul:- Queen of natural beauty, Chilika, the largest brackish water lake in Asia covering an area of over 1,100 sq km, is a major attraction for tourists for fishing, birdwatching, and boating. In winter, Chilika flutters with thousands of indigenous and migratory birds of many varieties from far and near, even from distant Siberia.

At Chilika, take a boat cruise to visit Bird Island (a paradise for resident and migratory birds) and Nalabana Island (a reed forest famous for long-range migratory birds in winter).

On arrival at Gopalpur, transfer to the hotel.

Dinner and overnight stay at Gopalpur.

Day 4

Gopalpur-Taptapani (68 Km, 1 hour 30 minutes) Taptapani-Rayagada (152 km, 3 Hours 30 minutes)

After breakfast, drive to Rayagada.

Along the way, you will visit Taptapani.

Taptapani: – It is famous for a perennial hot spring of medicinal sulphuric water, which is located on the state highway connecting Berhampur with Western Odisha. Surrounded by a cluster of hills and dense forests, Taptapani offers the serenity of nature. The place attracts a large number of tourists of all categories. Poets, writers, scholars, picnickers, holidaymakers, and newlyweds can make the most of the place in all seasons.

Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel.

Overnight stay at Rayagada.

Day 5

Rayagada

After breakfast, the day begins.

Drive to the homeland of the primitive Lanjia Saora tribe at Puttasing. Visit their houses with traditional paintings and also enjoy their beautiful Gaur dance performed during ancestor worship.

On the way back, visit the Desia Kondh villages.

In the evening, you will see the Aarti ceremony at the Majhigauri Temple.

Return to Rayagada and transfer to the hotel.

Overnight stay at Rayagada.

Day 6

Rayagada-Kakiriguma (70 Km, 1 hour 45 minutes)

After breakfast, the day begins.

En route, visit Chatikona to see the beautiful and colorful weekly market of the Dongria Kondh tribe (ONLY ON WEDNESDAY). This tribe is one of the most primitive Dongria Kondh tribes and lives on the high slopes of the Niyamagiri Hills.

Along the way, you will visit Minapai (the bamboo handicraft village).

Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel.

Overnight stay in Kakiriguma.

Day 7

Kakiriguma-Ankadelli (114 Km, 3 hours) Ankadelli-Jeypore (69 Km, 1 hour 40 minutes)

After breakfast, drive to Jeypore.

En route, visit Ankadelli:- Ankadelli to visit the famous Bonda tribes, who come to shop at the weekly market (ONLY ON THURSDAYS). This is a unique opportunity to see such a colorful concentration of tribal communities in one place. Bonda women wear colorful jewelry.

Paraja Tribe: – The Parajas appear to have inhabited this country since about the 2nd century AD (District Gazetteers, Koraput, 1966). They say that their original home is “Bastaria” as they migrated from the Bastar area of Madhya Pradesh (now Chhattisgarh). Paraja is a conglomeration of various endogamous sections and is not a compact community. Compared to other tribal communities, they show some cultural differences, especially in their pattern of settlement, dress and ornaments, economic life, beliefs and worship, customs, manners, and folk traditions.

Upon arrival in Jeypore, transfer to the hotel.

Overnight stay at Jeypore.

Day 8

Jeypore-Visakhapatnam (213 Km, 5 hours 20 minutes)

After breakfast, drive to Visakhapatnam.

En route, visit Kunduli, the weekly market of the Paraja and Mali tribes (ONLY ON FRIDAY). It is the largest market in the tribal area. Stop at the tribal villages of Sana Paraja, Sana Padar, and Bada Padar. Proceed to Visakhapatnam.

Rushikonda Beach: – Rushikonda Beach is a beautiful beach located on the coast of the Bay of Bengal in Visakhapatnam, in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.
