Day 1

Arrival in Chennai

Arrival at Chennai International Airport.

Once you have completed the immigration procedures and collected your luggage, our representative will wait for you outside the terminal.

Arrival at the hotel and check-in. Standard Check-in 2:00 p.m. / Check-out 12:00 p.m.

George Town Heritage Walk – Explore Chennai’s historic trading quarter filled with bazaars, colonial buildings, temples, and heritage streets.

Marina Beach – India’s longest urban beach stretches beautifully along the Bay of Bengal with golden sands and scenic sea views.

Kapaleeshwar Temple – A magnificent Dravidian-style temple originally built by the Pallavas and later rebuilt by Vijayanagara rulers.

Day 2

Chennai-Mahabalipuram (58 Km, 1 Hour 30 Minutes)

After breakfast drive to Mahabalipuram.

Upon arrival you visit:

Shore Temple – One of South India’s oldest granite temples located dramatically along the Bay of Bengal shoreline. Built in the 7th century by the Pallavas, this UNESCO monument is an architectural masterpiece of ancient India.

The Descent of the Ganges – A gigantic monolithic rock relief covered with intricate carvings of gods, humans, and animals. This spectacular bas-relief is considered one of the finest examples of ancient Indian stone artistry.

Five Rathas – These monolithic temples carved from single rocks resemble ceremonial chariots of ancient Hindu temples. The structures showcase the brilliance of Pallava architecture and exceptional stone carving craftsmanship.

Arjuna’s Penance – The world’s largest bas-relief sculpture depicts scenes from the Mahabharata with detailed carvings. This impressive artwork illustrates Arjuna’s devotion and penance to Lord Shiva for divine blessings.

Day 3

After breakfast, Depart for Pondicherry.

Day 4

Pondicherry-Pichavaram (76 Km, 1 hour 50 minutes) Pichavaram-Kumbakonam (87 Km, 2 hours) Kumbakonam-Tanjore (40 Km, 55 minutes)

After breakfast, drive to Tanjore.

En route visit:

Chidambaram Nataraja Temple – A sacred Shiva temple dedicated to Lord Nataraja performing the cosmic dance of creation..

Pichavaram Mangrove Forest – One of the world’s largest mangrove ecosystems with beautiful interconnected backwater channels.

On arrival at Kumbakonam visit:

Indeco Heritage Museum – A fascinating museum displaying antiques and historical objects preserving South Indian heritage.

Bronze Factory – A renowned artisan center preserving the ancient tradition of handcrafted bronze idol making.

Mahamaham Temple – A sacred Shiva temple associated with holy rivers and important spiritual rituals in Kumbakonam. The temple is considered highly auspicious and attracts devotees seeking blessings and purification.

On arrival at Tanjore transfer to hotel.

Day 5

Tanjore-Madurai (186 Km, 3 Hours 15 Minutes)

After breakfast the day begins.

Visit Tanjore:

Brihadeeswarar Temple – A UNESCO World Heritage temple showcasing magnificent Chola architecture and towering granite structures. Built by Raja Raja Chola I in 1010 AD, it remains one of India’s greatest architectural wonders.

Thanjavur Maratha Palace – A historic royal palace housing ancient manuscripts, bronze statues, and impressive art galleries. The complex reflects the rich cultural and architectural heritage of the Maratha rulers of Thanjavur.

After visiting Tanjore, leave for Madurai.

Thirumalai Nayakkar Palace (Closed on Fridays): is a 17th-century royal residence located in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India. Built in 1636 AD by King Thirumalai Nayak of the Nayak dynasty.

On arrival in Madurai transfer to hotel.

Tanjore-Madurai (186 Km, 3 Hours 15 Minutes)

Day 6

Madurai

After breakfast the day begins.

Flowers Market – Madurai’s vibrant flower market is filled with colorful jasmine garlands and fresh floral decorations. The lively atmosphere offers visitors an authentic glimpse into the city’s cultural and daily life.

Meenakshi Temple – A legendary Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Meenakshi and Lord Sundareshwarar with colorful gopurams. The temple is admired for its intricate carvings, spiritual importance, and grand Dravidian architecture.

Pudhu Mandapam was built during the reign of the Nayak dynasty in the 16th century in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India. The Nayaks were renowned for their contributions to architecture, and Pudhu Mandapam stands.

Gandhi Museum (Closed on Mondays)– A historical museum dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi and India’s freedom movement with rare artifacts.

Evening Ceremony – Witness the spectacular nightly procession of Lord Shiva and Goddess Meenakshi with music and prayers.

Note: To visit Meenakshi temple, sleeveless dresses and shorts are not allowed.
Non-Hindus are not permitted inside the sanctum sanctorum.

Day 7

Madurai-Munnar (160 Km, 4 hours 30 minutes)

After breakfast, drive to Munnar.

Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel and then visit:

Pothemedu Viewpoint – A breathtaking hilltop viewpoint offering panoramic views of tea plantations and misty valleys.

Pallivasal Falls – A picturesque waterfall surrounded by dense greenery and formed by the Muthirappuzhayar River.

Day 9

Munnar-Thekkady (91 Km, 2 hours 53 minutes)

After breakfast, drive to Thekkady.

Periyar Lake Boat Ride – Cruise through Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary surrounded by forests, hills, and rich biodiversity.

After breakfast, drive to Alleppey.

Arrival in Alleppey and transfer to the houseboat. Rest of the day dedicated to relaxation.

Alleppey Backwaters – Known as the Venice of the East, Alleppey is famous for scenic canals and serene waterways.

After breakfast, transfer to Kochi Airport as per the flight schedule for Agatti Island in Lakshadweep.

Upon arrival at Agatti Airport, proceed by boat transfer to the beautiful island of Bangaram.
On arrival at Bangaram, transfer to the hotel and check-in.

Rest of the day at leisure to relax and enjoy the pristine beaches and turquoise lagoons of the island.

On arrival in Kochi, transfer to the hotel and check-in.

The rest of the day is free to discover the city on your own or relax at the hotel.
